Huge casualty numbers: Casualties in Ukraine war could hit 2 million, report warns
The war changed the face of future warfare. Drones are the big thing going in this country now too. Ukraine says more than 80% of enemy targets now destroyed by drones
@joe_hoopsier any time a military conflict compares unfavourably to The Somme, the attacker should be asking very hard questions.
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
That should help push Putin toward making a deal.

Putin, In my opinion, will never make a deal. His age, his legacy, his "successes". . He already knows that his gig is up, which was supported mostly by #'s of his own people that he was acceptable to kill for his legacy. There is no successful story for putin in this one. lets just say.. Putin.. HE GONE ! no way out

I think you spelled die wrong.
BUT I wonder, and this is an extremely uneducated question. Do we need to push russia further into economic collapse before there is a deal? I'm thinking we want them so miserably weak, that the rebuild is 75-100 years, with a totally different governmental design. Just throwin shit out here.

What rebuild takes that long? It hasn’t even been 80 years since Germany and Japan were crushed and their economies have been relatively strong for decades.
I’m pretty neutral on sanctions and economic pressure. The fact is, if we aren’t willing to intervene directly militarily then we don’t have many other levers left to pull if we want to damage a regime.
Just funny that some believe impoverishing the Russian people on its own will lead to a more democratic form of government.
Are we planning on having a permanent military presence there as well? That seems to be an important component if we want your plan to be successful.
At least they're having direct talks.
