I'd like to know the whole story. The kid has had a troubled past; CTA saw it and gave him a lifeline. If the kid has a degree and isn't mentally ill or into drugs/alcohol/gambling and still finds himself on the streets, then something more is going on.
That said, great story.

A neighbor a couple of doors down put up an invisible fence for their 2 dogs. The lab just got a running start and brute forced his way out of the yard. You'd hear a yelp or a whimper, then he was off to explore the neighborhood.
