Anything they climb up they will fall out of. Backwards
we had a family of raccoons that we caught one at a time in a have-a-heart. Took them out to Griffy to release them. The mother was so stressed out when we opened the gate she jumped up the first tree she saw, which happened to be a very tall but dead tree with practically no bark on it. She scrambled up to the top and then simply lost her grip and fell and landed on her back and then waddled away. It was a bit tragic. But also hilarious. I wondered if she had organ damage from that fall. A cat would’ve landed on its feet.
