These veterans of the war on terror are extremely messed up. Suicide rates through the roof. Shootings like the ones we saw this weekend.
Was this as common with veterans of previous wars? I feel like it wasn’t but don’t have any data to support it.
Why are these vets specifically struggling so much in particular?
Fair enough.
Do we turn in our guns before, or after, Hillary assigns us our re-education camp?
I'm assuming if we turn them in early, we avoid potential F15 strafing of our houses?
I am not aware of any proposal on a national scale for everyone to "turn your guns" in any broad sense. But it would be helpful to come together on a policy to categorize AR15-style weapons (and we need help from gun enthusiasts to craft a useful definition) as arms similar to already banned arms (e.g., hand grenades, rocket launchers, nuclear material) and having no hunting or self-defense use that would justify their negative public safety impact.
If we fail on an ability to do that, or in parallel, it would be helpful to come together on a policy to limit access to firearms on the part of people with a history of mental health issues.
If we fail on an ability to do that, it would be helpful to come together on a policy to limit access to (specifically) AR15-style weapons (and we need help from gun enthusiasts to craft a useful definition) on the part of people with a history of mental health issues.
Any of these courses of action do not solve the problem completely- as we saw in Utah, some shooters don't use an AR-15 and haven't had previously identified mental health issues.
But we shouldn't discard the good for the lack of being perfect.

Pelosi was hammered in the head by a black lives matter, LGBT nutcase.
LOL
Based on his own taped police testimony, played at his trial, David DePape the hammer attacker did what he did because he was furious about the "Russiagate" allegations against the Trump campaign.
DePape was at San Francisco General for a dislocated shoulder he suffered during his arrest. A police investigator interviews him while he lies cuffed to a gurney.
She starts by asking, "Do you know why you're in custody?"
DePape answers, "Absolutely." He grows increasingly angry and emotional, claiming that Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats committed crimes to steal the election from Donald Trump. Then, Depape says, "I was going to hold her hostage and get her to tell the truth. If she didn't tell the truth, I'd break her kneecaps."

@carramrod @shooter farva imagine that creepy chemistry teacher you had in high school. Fat. Ugly. Creepy as hell. So unathletic he’s totally effeminate. Then add modern day wokeness to that creep. The type of guy you would never drink a beer with and certainly wouldn’t want your kids around. That’s shitter. Supported by hickory. The lowest paid, dumbest mother fckr a political party has ever paid. Truly a village idiot.
why would you spend time talking to these people. In life you never would. So why do it here? Hooky crazed so many others are gone that what’s left is just circling the drain. Not worth your time
McDumb, you keep regurgitating the same lies as your talking points. Mr. cut-n-paste. It really gets your goat that I voted for GOP presidential candidates in 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. Gee, 100% of the time, prior to the current scumbag in chief running. Unathletic? Do a 100 mile bike ride with me. Oh wait, you could never do a century ride. Even a metric century ride (100 km/ 62.5 mi). Did you play varsity HS basketball, like I did? Football, like I did? Ultimate frisbee in college, like I did?
You fat folds are affecting your brain, Cut-n-paste.

Vietnam vets had it rough after coming home. We learned our lesson for soldiers returning from Iraq / Afghanistan to at least give them some support and thank them for their service.
Vietnam vets were spit on by hippies. Lot of them left a piece of their soul over there and never fully recovered.
What liars the Dems are.

Hard to believe a public mass shooting was some white guy gun nut… what are the odds? Only 95%?
You mispelled the word "male".

How many democratic lawmakers would designate those that voted for Trump "deplorables", that were obviously too mentally incapacitated to own guns?
How many democratic lawmakers would designate those that voted for Trump "deplorables", that were obviously too mentally incapacitated to own guns?
Zero, to my knowledge. Maybe AOC or one of a few whacked out progressive loons
There was one former lawmaker. I think she went by Hillary something, said something similar, using "basket of deplorables" to describe "half" of the supporters of her opponent, Republican nominee Donald Trump, saying they're "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic".
The next day, she expressed regret for saying "half". But she never said all, as you imply. Nobody did. And nobody ever implied that anyone who is racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, or Islamophobic should be disqualified from gun ownership
In later remarks she was clear that she thought Trump supporters fall into "two big baskets", one of which are the "deplorables" who she would not bother to appeal to, and another for the rest, people who might listen to reason.
It was a stupid thing for her to say and to even double down on, and may have cost her even more than being torpedoed by Comey.

@hurryinghoosiers Well. Dbm was correct.
no he wasn't. closest evidence is some anti-fascist messages on bullet casings but he wasn't not registered as a dem or republican.
Also, to pretend the actions of one nutcase represent an entire party is beyond ridiculous.
Do you know what the biggest difference between the 2 parties?
Not one dem has said anything in support of Tyler Robinson.
Do you recall all the crap republicans were saying when Paul Pelosi was attacked in his home? Accusations of the attacker being his gay lover was among the shit the right came up with.
We all know which party is devoid of morals.
You're a moron. Tyler Robinson was left wing. Left wing ideology drove him to kill Kirk. All available evidence points to as much.
Pelosi was hammered in the head by a black lives matter, LGBT nutcase. Too many Republicans reveled in the incident as a piece of comedy. And admittedly, the video of Paul Pelosi coming to the door in his underwear holding hands with a guy at 1 AM is pretty funny. But the reveling wasn't right because he was seriously injured.
Kirk was assassinated, in a public way that was anything but funny. There is no comparison.
neither was funny dumbass.
Thanks for proving my point.
What liars the Dems are.

This is pretty fucked up, if true.
