Irrelevant to prosecuting the shooter.

As far as the broad issues is concerned, you must know and acknowledge that successful policing is always a product of community efforts.  We can’t have mobs whose purpose is to obstruct policing and then expect quality policing.  The Minneapolis mob  was so bad that even state and municipal cops gave up and abandoned areas to the “protesters”.  This sad situation is awful and is obviously the responsibility of local political leadership who makes their mission to demonize ICE.

Chicken vs egg. Did the protestors demonize them first, or did they (and the government) begin acting above the law first. Prove your statement

Compare this to the Boston Massacre. I am quite willing to post that the two actions are very similar. 2 of the soldiers were found guilty of manslaughter shooting into a mob that was attempting to demonize the soldiers. Further it became a rallying cry to bring more people into the demonization. We have since held up the victims as heroes, patriots.

We need to reduce tension, on both sides. Giving a news conference yesterday that flat out lied about what happened doesn't reduce tension. Preventing Minnesota from investigating does not reduce tension. Refusing any investigation into the previous shooting does not reduce tension. Refusing to allow a dr or the EMTs to access the first  shooting victim is not reducing tension

I saw a former federal prosecutor today say it has long been SOP for shootings like these to be jointly investigated.  Kicking the state out entirely is an issue.

So I agree Walz and the mayor need to do more. Let's see you say the same about the feds.

DHS has no interest in determining what actually happened.

Uncle Mark: Anything to deflect from the fact that unaccountable marauding masked feds are killing civilians on the street.

@unclemark Exactly.  The other arguments are mostly gaslighting, distractions and/or noise.

Bottom line:  There is no legal justification for the killing of this man.

Jonathon Ross has been given a new identity and yesterday's shooter hasn't been identified. If/when he is, he'll be protected as well.

Aside from the fact that two people have been killed, your observation is the most troubling aspect of these incidents.

"Shooter," singular? Maybe not.

The poster I responded to believes he's smarter, more knowledgeable, more experienced, and better educated than the rest of us. Therefore, when he weighs in on any subject, from politics to percentages to HVAC, his is the last word. You disagree with him at your peril.

What fantasy world are you in? The local cops were there to stand between the feds and the protestors. They didn't abandon anything. The feds stood down, and the locals weren't needed anymore. You're being gaslit like crazy on this.

@unclemark One other comment and then I'm out.  The dude shot yesterday was an ICU nurse at a VA Hospital.  Takes a special kind of person to do that work.  And Noem and Stephen Miller have labeled him a "domestic terrorist.  F*ck them both.

I don’t belive this.  There have been no killings “like these”.  There is no multi- jurisdictional task force and zero cooperation between state and feds.  In fact the locals have specifically hindered ICE by turning loose alien criminals without notification. The state can investigate anything, but it has no grounds to seek interagency cooperation.

Nope. ICE  operates pretty much the same throughout the country; without serious incidents.  Minneapolis is an outlier because Waltz is a moron and Fry is a left wing fundamentalist.  They have inflamed the situation.  Not even Newsom is as bad as these two.

Assassin

Brandishing a firearm

Intending to massacre

They had no choice but to shoot him in the back a half dozen times.

@big-ryan

The VA ICU nurse specifically inserted him self into an active law enforcement operation and interfered with officers of the law.  That’s a felony.  He was armed and knew he was armed. That’s an aggravating circumstance to his felony.  He committed a second felony by resisting being disarmed.  We don’t know if this is a good shoot, but stop pretending like the victim was the good guy here.

i think Walz and Fry have blood on their hands, not Noem

What exactly is so special about a VA ICU nurse?

It is so hard to take your, "defend my side to the death" seriously.  Oh, you do throw out the occasional, "Trump is perfect except sometimes he says things that can be misinterpreted as mean" crap.
