The Pacers ownership sucks.  People that cheap shouldn't own teams.

Not surprised.  I think that's what they had to do.  Tough choice after the Haliban injury.

The Pacers might pull a Spurs and get into the lottery next summer. Too bad the timing didn't work out for THIS summer. Or if Cooper Flagg didn't reclassify.

@unclemark hey Mark - I've asked a couple times here - but figured you might know. Is there any way to change the photo in our profiles?

Lillard waived by the Bucks too. Going to be carrying over $20m/yr in dead cap money for 5 years.

@unclemark nevermind - figured it out. Apparently I needed to have a few posts under my belt to edit my profile.

My thoughts...the Pacers should not be spending north of $25 million per year on Myles Turner. If Haliburton was healthy, you resign Turner and "run it back" in a depleted Eastern Conference. With the injury, the calculus changes. I imagine they are exploring trades for Pascal Siakam with a goal of establishing a new core around Haliburton that would be full of guys in their prime in 2027-2028-2029-2030. This makes perfect sense but will make significantly less sense if they take this as a half measure and take no further steps to acquire assets for the future.

I'm not. He had his weaknesses but his strengths outshined them. #2 shot blocker in the league. And while he struggled shooting in the finals, for most of the season he was a quality shooting 5.

@twenty Couldn't agree more.  The injury derailed a young team with its best years ahead of it.
