Already the highest turnout since at least 1999, when Bibi was unseated by Ehud Barak on promises of peace in Palestine and Lebanon.

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
@all4you Hot take: everyone fails and they have to hold another election.
Israeli politics is a mess.
@goat what do these Arab parties do? I assume they just exist but are never part of any coalition?
Bibi/ Eisenkot will form coalition. Bibi will be PM first two years, then become President.
@twenty For the most part. The main Arab party was in the Bennett government. I think that's the only time it happened.
Edit to add: If this year is a sign that they are going to vote to their demographic strength moving forward, then they are likely to play a bigger role in the future. It will be hard for any Jewish coalition to win a majority if the Arabs lop 20 seats off the top.

That is probably the least likely outcome.
Why do you say this? Neither will form a coalition with an Arab party. They only have each other.

@co-hoosier the anti-Bibi bloc is immovably anti-Bibi. A coalition with the Arabs is also extremely unlikely. It's possible the opposition could form a minority government with Arab support from outside government. But I think the only likely outcome is everyone fails and they have another election.
If the Arabs are regularly going to get 20% of seats in the Knesset, though, Jewish parties will eventually need to face the reality of working with them.
@goat the Arab parties hold a range of beliefs from “Hamas is not a terrorist group” on the moderate end to “The state of Israel should not exist” on the more radical end.
Good working partners.
@carramrod That's not accurate. The Arab parties represent a range of positions. The most prominent Arab Israeli politician has even served in an Israeli government, repeatedly condemned Hamas, and his party has even run Jewish candidates.
(He's also a radical right-winger, but you can't have everything.)
