Not sure I'd characterize Israel as a sitting duck.  This war may turn out to be a clusterf*ck but a lot has changed in the last 20 years.  Israel's interests are more aligned with the Saudis and the other rich Persian Gulf countries now.  Anti-Israeli sentiment can still be a useful tool for the Arabs but they're much more interested in finance these days.  This could go on for three more months and a working relationship with Israel would still create more value than whatever you get from backing Iran.

True. Many of the ME countries want peace and friendly neighbors. My point is geologically, Israel is a sitting duck. No real natural protections, even from the sea. (Case in point, there are suggestions that Ukraine's recent attacks on Russian oil depots to the north came from vessels in the waters toward Finland.)

My ultimate point is that Israel should make friends not enemies because they're the Rhode Island of that that area. A small, vulnerable place. Adding Gaza, the West Bank, Southern Lebanon and other small land grabs won't really change that.

Let's review...

-Trust in American morality / USA world standing has been ruined by unhinged threats of genocide and just by general insanity.

-The USA and Israel have bombed at least 2 Iranian schools and several hospitals. More civilian targets have been threatened.

-The straight is now a tollbooth, with Iran in charge.

-Russia is richer.

-NATO is fractured.

-Iranian people are more united in opposition to the USA.

-We’ve spent 1-2 billion dollars a day.

-We replaced a supreme leader with his more hardline son.

-We are apparently “negotiating” with some random Iranian who picked up a phone.

-Bibi is the puppeteer, Trump the puppet.

If you didn’t understand, before, how in the world Trump bankrupted casinos, you should now see why.  And Trump’s insanity is far deeper now.

You can make your points without constantly referencing antisemitic tropes.  Trump has had a hard on for Iran for decades.  He’s not Netenyahu’s puppet.

It's not an antisemitic trope to acknowledge that, ACCORDING TO PEOPLE WHO WERE IN THE ROOM, as reported by the New York Times, Bibi pitched the war plan to DJT. The military advisors told Trump that the plan would not work. But Trump bought in.

@goat the "broken" had started before I replied. The reaction icon for brad's post above mine was aligned all the way left.

Being critical of Bibi and the Israeli government's policies is not an antisemetic trope.

Hell it could've been me, but I do recall seeing your reaction line being all the way left outside of the typical format before I ever replied and thinking WTF why? And were I inclined to go back and search through the thousand or so posts I've made I could probably find at least half a dozen examples where I put multiple memes/gifs next to one another on the same line (just a cleaner look) without breaking a thread.

But I will defer to Goat and take the blame and shame. He's got a good track record right?

@all4you Nah, I read his post just fine before you posted. As soon as you posted 40 GIFs in the same reply, BAM, ridiculousness. You own this one, man.

Also, keep posting snarky replies, because I think if we get to the next page, it probably magically fixes itself.

In defense of Brad, reference to the Israeli leader as a "puppetmaster" of some kind certainly references antisemitic tropes. It's kind of like going out of your way to call Obama "well-spoken." Doesn't mean you're racist, but, you know, you only came up with the comment because of racists.
