I actually think that it is entirely possible that the existing structure of govt remain. Most people aren't rabid ideologues, they are pragmatic. They want status and money and control and power.
Much better to work with the pragmatics and kill the crazies that are hell bent on being adversarial to Israel and the US. It's a tale as old as time in that region. The current regime has no broad public support. Don't try to import Western democracy and you'll be fine.
I dont usually wade into politics, but I will say I wish my uncle could have seen this. He passed last year from cancer, but spent nearly 40 years in the CIA after close to a decade in the army. Almost all of that time was in the middle east and China. He spent a lot of time in Iran around the timeframe of the movie Argo, and knew the guy it was based on. RIP Rich. Helluva guy.
From what I can gather from the various reports I've seen, it looks like the Israelis targeted the "human" assets -- government and military officials -- while the US took care of the hard facilities, i.e. the missile sites and nuclear sites themselves. Makes me think the Israelis had better intel on the people than we did.
Trump has succeeded in moving the national narrative away from the Epstein files, but the Iran War is highlighting a growing divide within MAGA. Any chance of the anti-war faction in MAGA pushing 25th Amendment invocation to get Trump out and Vance in, not necessarily right now but within a year or so? They'd probably have the "release all the files!" group in their corner as well.

the Israelis have better intel (pagers, Solemani, etc), but it gives Trump a way to say he didn’t kill the head of regime.
