Will they? I don't know. Will they keep trying? Most definitely. Even if they sign a piece of paper that says they won't.This regime is not giving in to Trump’s demands. If that happens the war was a massive failure. Let’s hope it doesn’t.
It's already a failure. Cut our losses now and get out before the hole gets deeper.
And that would be beyond dumb. I'll go with they're going to continue to pressuring Iran until they give into their demands. They'll pull back and try to jawbone down oil prices when they trend too high and bomb them when needed. Iran is f#cked.
You think Iran is going to develop a nuclear weapon then?

If they're not going to give into Trump's demands and they're going to keep trying, isn't the answer yes?
will be a speeded-up production process
This is epic in alot of ways.
First, it’s “a lot.” 😉 Second, it needs to happen.
What do you think is a better option? More bombings? Boots on the ground invasion? If that happens the war was a massive failure. Let’s hope it doesn’t.
Keep all economic sanctions on and the blockade until they agree to at least the pre-war status quo, then negotiate the nuclear restrictions from there.
Anything less than open strait with no illegal tolls and no further attacks on US bases and partner nations is acceptable.
The Iranian economy is in crisis and is on the verge of collapse. The question Trump faces is will the total collapse of the Iranian economy cause significant damage to the region and beyond? Trump can bring Iran to its knees in days. I think he is getting a lot of regional pressure to not do that. Domestic Trump resistance provides Iran with reasons to stick it out.
As far as the nukes are concerned, of course we can’t bomb that into a different outcome. So long the Iranian Muslims and other Muslims want nukes, they will keep up the effort.
Iran is in no position to dictate terms. The only traction their terms get are with their allies, including U.S. political war opponents in the media and government.
Trump can bring Iran to its knees in days.
Nonsense. If he could, he would.
It's pathetic. He doesn't know what the hell to do next. That's why he's talking about all kinds of stuff that doesn't matter, like ballrooms and effing decorative shit. I guess that makes him feel like he's accomplishing something.
Trump's war has resulted in the deaths of 18 American service members, with hundreds injured. The financial cost is approaching $100 billion. The war has caused a depletion of our high-end munitions, impacting our ability to effectively manage potentially wider conflicts. And we've got NOTHING to show for it. The best we can hope for at this juncture is a return to the status quo ante, with the Strait reopened.
In sum, this has been a massive fuck-up by Trump.
The Iranian economy in tatters . Destroying Karg island would finish the job. But such action might not be best in the long term. A unified home front would help negotiations .
The Iranian economy oin taters.
I don't know what language that is but, if the English translation is "Iran's economy is in tatters," that's not the same as bringing them to their knees. The regime there couldn't care less about the well-being of the citizens. It's about self-preservation and, much to our dismay, the IRGC isn't going anywhere.
Again, Trump doesn't have a clue as to what to do next. It's sad and embarrassing.
First, I was on my phone and for various reasons my eyes are not what they used to be. But my brain is well enough to know you are an asshole. Do you need an English translation to understand the point?
Secondly, The Revolutionary guard is a problem. Its loyalty is to Islam, not the Persian people. It draws considerable support from the Islamists bubbling up within the USA Democratic Party. My conspiracy mind tells me there is a dark web connection.

An arrogant poster who purports to be an expert on EVERYTHING calling someone else an asshole? That's pretty funny.
It took you only a few sentences to bring Trump's Iranian War folly back to the Dems. Hilarious.
How long until the US becomes a communist country? Or institutes Sharia Law? Six months?
Watch out for that DSA boogeyman hiding in your closet. They're taking over!!
I know this is the best you can do. You don’t know the difference between confidence and arrogance.
"Somehow [Trump has] maneuvered himself into a more vulnerable spot regarding Iran than any president since Jimmy Carter. As in the 1979-80 hostage crisis, the Islamic Republic is exerting political pressure that it can dial up on the US leader ahead of a national election. A week ago, Trump’s team predicted a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz was imminent. But Tehran, now dictating terms to the US global superpower, has imposed tough new conditions.
At the same time, Trump faces a separate but related problem at home. The war’s impact on energy prices is further souring voter perceptions of the economy. He’s entered the doom loop in which presidents and officials scan data for silver linings but voters see only indifference to their plights. Twists like Friday’s bad jobs report are untimely for the GOP with November fast approaching.
As the political environment darkens for Republicans, their leader seems oblivious. Many of Trump’s weekend social media posts might have been scripted by his foes to portray an out-of-touch president. He posted a picture with South African golf legend Gary Player, and another of the sculpting of a new green at one of his courses. He posted about a futuristic drone port on the proposed White House ballroom, the Reflecting Pool renovation, and two statues in Washington newly coated with glistening golden paint. He also claimed to be a slayer of inflation, but he looked more like a president desperately trying to leave a physical legacy rather than one brimming with ideas for national renewal."
Trump has a Carter-style Iran problem as the economy drags before the midterms | CNN Politics
@dbmhoosier Can someone explain this to me? reader's digest answer. we spend a trillion a year. every year. on the military. and we get into one little skirmish with a country that spends what 2 percent of what we spend, and we're already out of weapons? why? how? what are we doing with all the money. i know the pentagon has no idea. have they gotten a clean audit yet?
Destroying Karg island would finish the job.
How? We track Kharg with satellites and know it is currently idle. You can Google that. How does blowing up something currently idle destroy Iran's economy?
