I took my first Uber/Waymo ride in Atlanta this past weekend. I requested an Uber and it notified me that the nearest ride was a driverless Waymo vehicle and wanted to know if I was OK with that. My kids were with me and we all decided we wanted to try it out. I'd say it drove as safe as any driver I've had. The novelty was kind of cool too. We ended up taking one on our return trip too.
Imagine 50 years ago saying that the Jaguar brand would be saved in the future by a technology company named after a number that controls the front door to the Internet (don't worry, we'll explain).
