The MAGA effort to make Hunter Biden the poster child for political corruption under the previous administration was an example of just this, a tactic meant to obscure the wanton corruption of Trump and his allies.

No, I think he's claiming they hacked his phone and other stuff and uploaded it onto a laptop and claimed it was Hunter's. That's plausible, I guess.
By claiming this, though, he has now set himself up for a slander lawsuit if the laptop dude can prove Hunter gave it to him. That would be awesome.
I remember a few years ago, debating a Dem at the old site about Hunter. They honestly thought he got his jobs on these corporate boards and advising, etc. because of his experience and that he was a smart guy, a real investment banker. Had nothing to do with his connection to his dad. It's incredible the lengths people will go to to deceive themselves.
nothing that's been presented by maga has shown any crimes, outside of illicit drug use. Your dad getting you a job may be unethical in certain cases but it's not illegal. Regardless of where the info was found, it seems like its a big nothing burger.

Fortunately, though, despite the unprecedented corruption, he's a good Christian. We'll see further evidence of that in his Christmas message which I'm sure will be Christ-centered and focused on core Christian values of compassion, unity and love for one another.
