- Multiple prior convictions (juvenile assault/extortion + 2026 sentence for preparing serious violent act endangering the state).

- Released May 2026 after suspended 22-month sentence; prosecutors appealed to keep him detained.

- July 25: Rented van, rammed crowd in Tiergarten park near Berlin Pride (CSD) closing event, then attacked with machete. - 1 woman killed, 29 injured. Treated as Islamist terror attack.

- Shot dead by police July 26 in Spandau after charging officers with blade.
