@unclemark, I'm just riffing on my experience here and what I think might work. I paid for a sub and hoping it works out.
But for Sammy, I'm more concerned he and his partners figure a way to make this site profitable and worth their time.

HH, you're fine. This place is great. You're response to suggestions so far is outstanding. Anything other than 100% appreciation and patience is bullshit. If anyone here could do it any better, they would have done it, or they would have found some place that is more to their liking.

How much does a one time fix cost to have something that looks like Rivals? I will contribute myself if it’s reasonable and works.

You can pound your fist on the table and demand to see the manager all you want. Sammy will bust his balls and his wallet to get this thing lined out one way or the other. @bulk-vh not strange in the least. it's nothing we need. it's something that's just fun. quick and dirty while doing other things. if it's not convenient it won't work. it doesn't have to be like the old rivals but again unless it's extremely user friendly it won't survive. this isn't an attack just reality. engagement will stay low

@mcm666 it wasn’t a capital issue, it was a time issue. If we launched a month from now, we’d be a ghost town. It was a nobody could do something in seven weeks thing, especially with the legal constraints we had.
Im not saying we don’t need money, but that wasn’t the hurdle to clear.
i have reached out to a couple developers and a couple people here have reached out on my behalf.
im thankful for the feedback and i get change sucks.

Adapt. Evolve. I like this place, and was looking forward to something new. Some people are spending all their time trying to recreate...what? The WC? That board had become extremely ponderous and repetitive.
I hope the delays in getting this place 100% up to speed serve to chase some posters away. I guarantee you the negative impact, as far as number of posters is concerned, will be minimal.

So, are you saying that HH needs to work weekends and holidays to satisfy you?

@stollcpa a total redo of everything will take more than a weekend to get done. Trust me, I have given up the majority of my weekends and holidays to run a website, cover games, go to recruiting events, media days since 2013.
Everything that I could get done this week, I have.
I get it, it’s a thankless job.
I don’t mean to get shitty, but we made this board FREE for you all. We listen to suggestions, we try and get things done as soon as possible and I am as transparent as I can be. We are an independent site without the resources of Rivals or 247.
Did I want to be cast aside after 30 days? No, and I get that the community has been through the wringer and asking for a little patience is the last thing you want to do.
I promise you we care, we are working to give you the best coverage of IU sports while also being able to build a community.

@thehoosierhuddle get the resources. i and everyone cheer on startups and people trying to make a go of it. it is not easy and not for the faint of heart and i commend you for taking on the challenge. but capitalize yourself. get a better platform and make a good go of it. tweaking wordpress won't work.
