Especially in context of their other irrational behavior, rambling antics and other weird behavior. Defending and shielding the truth about his mental decline is long past just unacceptable.
Short of passing away, there is nothing he could do or say that would make his inner circle want to even take steps toward having him step down or removed from the White House.
