@goat I would take that bet. It’s fascinating to think about but I’ll go on record that it won’t be a good thing. We’ll have lost purpose. We’ll be a society of sloths and addicts. Because if Ai can do our jobs better it’ll certainly also be better at writing making music movies etc

Compounding gains in efficiency will catch all of them, quicker than they think. Human enterprise is effectively over. We just won't admit it yet.

Of course we will see pushback. But a few years from now, it will be more efficient to just pay the proles a UBI and at that point fuck 'em. They aren't going to vote away their free retirement. It's over.
@goat my pakis make a $1.50 an hour. About $10 for a day’s work. No regs like here that add overhead. And multiply that ten thousand or a hundred thousand times over. All on antiquated typewriters. With motorcycles that cost $75 used to get to work. How is AI replacing labor. Cheap labor. I get software taking orders. Chat boxes. But actually labor

In a few years, that labor will cost $1.50 a year automated. It's coming.
Cheap physical labor will be one of the last to go. Middle management first. Don't even need AI. An Excel sheet could do their job.
Next is anyone between the managers and the C Suite. No reason for them anymore.
But the cheap labor will be after that.
Last will be bartenders and hookers. Anything we truly want genuine humanity for.

Honestly I think it looks like giving the lower classes just enough welfare not to starve, that way we can keep the capitalist facade going.
@unclemark im not sure people realize how poor some of these places are tho overseas. and honestly. my pakis work like animals. any hour of hte day i message they will wake their asses up message me back and go to my factory. i wouldn't replace them. i wouldn't do it to them
