Minnesota State reps, United healthcare CEO and now Charlie Kirk. All within a year.
For those who might buy into Charlie Kirk being some type of purveyor of "hate speech," here's a sampling:
I disagree with many of his arguments. Many times he comes off as smug. But if we can't tolerate this type of debate in our society, I'm not sure what kind of society we are at this point.

He was going onto campuses and trying to persuade people. This is really, really, really bad.
I’ve seen many of his videos on campus. I don’t remember yelling or screaming. He just made his argument and allowed kids participating to espouse their views even if throwing hate his way. His rebuttals could be tuff but fair.He really was.@bradstevens he was doing it the right way

AGAIN - I'll await the motive but unless this dude was an unmitigated/unmedicated whackjob like Hinkley......this is really really awful and says way too much about who we've become.
Slightly different but mostly the same (b/c they weren't literally expressing their opinion when shot) are the two Dems shot in MN. We're headed for a WILD ride.
@goat Reddit, which i generally consider more level headed and, you know, real (not bots) than X is a cesspool. I mean, honestly, it's terrible. HOwever, that being said, I have no idea how their algorithms work next to X, Insta, whatever.,
I tend to click on both sides on controversial topics so I tend to get a glimpse at the extremes on each side. I have seen people like David Hogg say it is terrible and I have seen random people celebrating from the left. On the right you see everything from people saying this is horrific to those starting to crash out. And the ones crashing out have ample examples to point to, some of them coming from our main stream media (like that MSNBC clip).

Assuming this was political, I don't think you can say that Kirk was targeting for how he communicates. He would be a target because of what he communicates, going back to what (I think) Lars posted above. I'm still rolling around in my brain whether or not that's worse.
