This seems like a little bit of a problem.

Man, gotta love the modern day sensationalist X headline.

Thumbnail states:

"The bullet used to kill conservative commentator Charlie Kirk DID NOT match the rifle suspected killer Tyler Robinson allegedly used..."

Article states:

The bullet that killed conservative commentator Charlie Kirk may not match the rifle used by suspected killer Tyler Robinson, a bombshell new court filing states.

Robinson, 22, is facing capital murder charges and a potential death sentence for Kirk's murder at Utah Valley University on September 10.

But his defense attorneys now argue that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives 'was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr Robinson.'

Lack of conclusive evidence does not mean it DID NOT match the rifle.

We're moving closer and closer to a post or no truth society.

So... are they are saying that 1) the bullet was too damaged to conclusively match one way or another, or 2) that the chain of custody was unclear and there is no way to know if the bullet studied was the actual bullet fired, or not?

This seems like a little bit of a problem.

Isn’t it a bit more problematic that a 30-06 should’ve decapitated him from the neck up?

It's not tipped with explosives.  I do find it odd that it didn't exit his neck.  Not odd enough to claim it wasn't possible though.

how accurate and conclusive are these test? The conspiracy folks are certainly going to have field day with this.

The body of the story it says, "MAY not match." It's clear it's not a sure thing. However, this will fuel the conspiracy theorists' minds, which is probably intentional by the headline writer.

It looks as if conclusive matches only happen about half the time if I'm reading it correctly.  The more a bullet expands and framents, the less likely a match is conclusive.

Candace told everybody that months ago including the part how the sniffing dogs couldn't find the rifle but Kash's Feds said did you search over there and boom they found the rifle. Seems the Feds forgot to match the rifle they planted to the bullet.   TP USA said Charlie has a superman neck and stopped the 30-06.  The Israel First gaslighting is in full force.
