@snarlcakes mamdani says he’s going to tax bitcoin transactions to raise revenue. Let’s just assume he has that authority. This is what I’ve never understood about crypto. Once the gov(s) regulate it how is it different than anything else and why is it appealing
It's not any different.
It's only appealing if one bought it for almost nothing...
The Fed and States will do whatever they can get away with to suck up the equity when the time comes.

You're missing the order of operations. Bitcoin is sucking up all the capital, not the other way around. Central Bank and States can opt in, but they still won't control the system and still will not be able to print more sat. Bitcoin is becoming the neutral world reserve currency. Gold tried and failed because it's easily centralized and there is plenty of money it.
A hypothetical. It's 2055 and robots mine gold 24/7 and the supply is increasing at 10% annual. How valuable is it? Can't do that with Bitcoin 😉
@bradstevens it's in the code you can't mine anymore coins, and the incentive structure. In order to change the code you would need to control 51% of the nodes and some other things (plus everyone would be able to see it coming). The amount of money (energy) it would cost to do it would be astronomical. You're better off just buying it. I'm not technical enough to give you a better answer than that. You're better off running it through AI. They'll walk you through it if you want a good explanation.
@snarlcakes Seen this? Two jailed after £5,500,000,000 Bitcoin fraud case | News UK | Metro News
No. I saw the U.S. seized 127,000 Bitcoin last month from a Cambodian based scamming operation. I wouldn't be surprised if the two were connected.
Bitcoin down 22% since I bought Bitcoin. That means I buy more Bitcoin??? Am I doing this right?
@larsiu dude who gives a fck. Up. Down. What difference. It’s not like you can use it. The power is in saying and knowing you have it!
you’re right where you want to be

So, you were the top signal? Let me know when you sell so I know when the bottom is in. I'm buying until I'm dying.

Serious answer I'm bullish for next year on the economy. Everyone has turned into doomers and nothing has changed. The economy is growing 4%. Rates are coming down. We're running 2 trillion dollar deficits. The tariff shit is behind us. Tax cuts kick in and Trump has 200+ billion dollars to give away if the economy stalls some. Shit is running hot next year in my opinion and Bitcoin has been consolidating for a year now.
All that said, I'll probably be wrong and we'll go into a depression😁

You should make sure to use leverage.
