Attending the dreaded firm retreat in a few weeks and I signed up for the pickleball tournament. I've "played" exactly four times, with my son. I think our longest rally was a total of 7 shots (not each - total).
What shoes should I wear so that my coworkers know I mean business when I walk onto the court? I plan to wear my retro Yonex racquetball shirt (red) and Adidas shorts (dark blue).
Uh, those shoes are only for cookouts, going to Cracker Barrel, then mowing the lawn.

@bradstevens lol. Whatever the mechanics of serving the ball in tennis I can’t do. It takes me four or five throws just to get an attempt and then the serve is a disaster
Ha! My serve is the best part of my game. If I can’t win a point in three hits, I’m done.
I played on the HS tennis team. Never was much good, barely made the team. Even though I'm short, my serve was my best shot. Boomer. Never let up on my second serve, either. Decent forehand, too. But absolutely no backhand whatsoever. Once my opponent realized that, I was sunk.

My home town had one tennis court...and it was gravel.
Apparently PB has had a rise of injuries to players over 50. In fact a doctor my wife knows from Indy now living in Colorado is a paraplegic due to a terrible fall on the court.
