Proper Preparation mixed with technical skill, guided by a common mission. Creates enjoyment. 

 


If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.

Already watching NASA, excited and concerned about reentry. Artemis 1, uncrewed, showed a fair amount of damage to the heat shield.

Always a concern, especially after Columbia.

I was 14 years old for Apollo 11. I remember being most concerned about the touchdown on the Moon, not the first steps. "Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed" was more impactful to my young mind than "That's one small step..." Turns out I was right to an extent -- IIRC, Armstrong had to do some last second maneuvering to avoid landing on the lip of a crater or on some big rocks or something like that.

Wasn't it the stagehands' responsibility to move the rocks out of the way?
