I wouldn't go that far, quite yet. NYC gets tons of news, but overall, the left wing didn't win Tuesday. Dems won. Moderates and leftists alike. It's not like progressive socialists gave us new governors in VA and NJ.
She has exposure, and that helps. And she knows how to perform in front of a camera, and that really helps, but a lot of the DNC money would much rather have Newsom than her. And a big chunk of DNC money would quietly rather have a Beshear, to be honest, although I'm not sure they have any clue how they can find a path forward for something like that.

All the rich people won't leave. Chicago has had 6 years of Lightfoot and Johnson. Johnson is just as socialist as Mamdani, he's just too stupid to articulate it as well.
