I'm getting it too but not on every thread. I tried to look for a common denominator but haven't found it yet. Government shutdown thread is an especially bad one, so whatever we are doing in that thread night give a clue.

There is a ton of data being uploaded on that thread. The same video being used a lot in quotes may be the issue, but the load time for me wasn’t a crawl. It was slower than normal, but that’s why.

I use my browser for browsing. It's open source as is my operating system, and cache and temp files are closely managed.
The threads in question are multi page and usually have a lot of web content. It is understandable if they are a little slow to load, but these bring everything to a standstill.
@unclemark Mark, it may be a bandwidth issue on your part. I have now loaded that thread on my lap top, iPad and phone (cell service) and it worked fine. A little slow, but fine.

Not all threads, but there's a couple where I don't even click on anymore because they just don't load.
The Government Shutdown thread has one post that loads a shitload of web content copied from an AI query. I think that's the culprit.

This is the only thread I have experienced slow loading for, and that is only for pages 7 and 8. Pages 1-6 and page 9 load normally.

I have tons of page loading problems when accessing the site on my phone (an Android). But on my laptop it seems better.
Another annoying thing is that on my phone I have to re-log-in for every single visit. My laptop keeps me logged in.
