Scotland will need a LOT of things to go their way. They're currently the 7th best 3rd place team with 9 more still to play. Any TWO of these scenarios knock them out, as far as I can tell:
- Ecuador wins
- Belgium wins or ties
- Cabo Verde wins or ties
- Senegal wins
- DR Congo wins
These aren't all of the possibilities, but I think they're all of the possibilities for those currently in 3rd place.
@bar-down I need a lunch recommendation in the STL metro area that's pretty easily reached off of 70 on our trip to KC for the round of 32 next week.

BBQ, regular American fare, brewpubs and the like. We've been to Sauce on the Side in Clayton and loved it. Downtown one was less good. But literally any lunch suggestions are fine and then I'll vet them for our tastes. Haven't been to KC and our stay will be short. Staying AirBnB in Concordia, shuttling to the FanFest during the day and then shutting to the stadium from there. Head home the following day, so pretty quick in and out.

and if you wanted to get out and walk a bit the other direction just a mile down is old saint charles or whatever it's called. really cool brick street overlooking the river with great pubs, llewlleyns, great bbq, and some cool breweries where you can eat. looks like another time with the cobblestone street. great break in the drive. both are super close off the highway. left to streets of st charles tons of restaurants brand new. right to main street saint charles old school. done.

@larsiu it's been so so good. but but some bad games. i don't know how i feel about opening up. we all love scotland but my god they were dogshit in the first half against brazil. slow af in the back. pep did the world a grave injustice with his style and having backs like dani alves and jordi alba. now everyone thinks they can play out of the back. and they can't. my hot take. about 1/3 of all the goals scored are just capitalizing on f ups out of the back. i guarantee that's the case for mls if not half
