He is not listed in Summer Ball nor projected as a roster player for Fall. He is not listed in the transfer portal either. I looked up his age and iirc, he doesn't turn 21 until after the MLB draft so I thought technically he is not eligible this year. Any word on him?
I just saw that IUBase.com had Brayton Thomas as a MLB draft eligible player and evidently don't expect him to return. They also list another portal transfer pitcher that is probably going to get drafted and not going to be on the Fall roster. Sadly IU is turning into a possible feeder program for the Big Boys. Come on Schwarbs and donate some NIL money for your Alma Mater!! VBG!!

@82iugrad It is hard to maintain any interest in the baseball team under Coach Mercer. I do believe the B1G has continued to basically ignore baseball at the national level, and financially it doesn’t make much sense for IU to try to compete in conference with the West Coast teams until the B1G steps up IMO. Last year’s season and the landing spot for many of our portal guys speak volumes about IU baseball.
Nonetheless there will be a 2027 season. I think Thomas will be back at IU; he was not dratfed and hasn’t signed a free agent deal. HOPEFULLY he is working exclusively with Mathews and will emerge as a Friday/Saturday guy. He has very good stuff.
Seebold has signed with Toronto and I really hope he gets a chance to advance. Also Neubeck’s season got him to free agent deal with Washington. He is a competitor and left handers who can throw strikes can stick around and advance. Wish him well.
