This place is a perfect metaphor for IU Baseball under Jeff Mercer. I really wanted to see him succeed, but it's clear he's not the guy at this point. For several years this was my favorite program on campus. No longer, obviously. But it had lost its luster well before Cig re-wrote the "what's possible" playbook.
@thehoosierhuddle Not usually a fan of that kind of talk. Too much of it since these message boards were created 30-ish years ago. But in this case, I simply see no other logical conclusion. As usual, it’ll come a year or two too late.

@Gros-Louis It may have been, but the solution did not resolve the issue. There are other issues, too. He overcomplicates a pretty simple game.
