On its surface because it's Kentucky in Rupp Arena which I think is a terrible venue but I digress , but that Minnesota team is garbage. So in reality to me it doesn't. There are still glaring holes

I dont know the make up stuff. For what? To help our chances at the tourney? Of course it will, a lot. Would go a long way to making up for it. Any committee would more see it as a good win than holding over our head a turd of a loss three games earlier.

Most are in the middle and will probably be very happy if we beat Kentucky in the first year of our new coach. After that, the middle will follow the season game by game.

The big question is if our players recognize this game as a huge rivalry game or not? Most are probably too young to even remember the Wat shot 14-15 years ago! It’s gonna be a raucous crowd with Dickie V and Barkley as commentators. I just hope IU doesn’t embarrass themselves on national TV in this situation!

But I cant pump sunshine because I see the same roster flaw everybody does. No inside game. Fewer athletes than a lot of teams. But I dont see any point in doom and gloom. I like the product so far.
We are .500 in the league. I think that is how we finish.
A win over UK would certainly tilt the scales toward making the tourney. If we dont beat them, need a game better in the league. I think we make the tourney without the play-in. Which means we are good, in my view.

to me we are "good" when we are consistently making it to the 2nd weekend of tourney and at minimum an outside chance to win it. And that's objective... making the tournament can be having an outside chance.
