I am most concerned about overall lack of depth. Through the initial 6 games, 7 players are averaging 20 or more minutes of playing time. Would like to see an additional ball handler (perhaps Drake or Ristic) and a rebounder ( a healthy Josh Harris?).
If some sort of major injury hits the big 7 playing time guys, IU will be in trouble.
What's your major concern?
(Coach has done a good job with the guys he's had available.)
Size and depth. We have neither of both.
Agree- size, although, as a team, we do have a lot of 6-6 to 6-8 dudes- would love to get Harris back to help Alexis.
so far, very happy w this team and coach. The team defense has been very good and should get better the more this group plays together!
Size will be a season long issue but depth should improve as players come back from injury.
Depth in conference season.
foul trouble-not every game can be in Bloomington or Indy
DeVries and Wilkerson settling for too many early 24 footers instead of getting us into the offense.
And having that desire to rebound.
Not very worried. Coach seems to have this. Expecting a strong season now.

@openwheel It sure is nice to have a man in charge that can talk basketball and coach. It's been a long time since IU has had someone like him to lead the program.
The lack of a 6'11" bruiser down low.
PG play is going to make or break this team. 6 can get to the rim, make a shot and he is long. The problem is he makes 2-3 awful decisions a game. This team can't afford that against quality.
And we don't have a back up PG right now.

Enright is a PG.
@hozo4ultimate Conerway made a number of great plays in the KSU game but he also was credited with 7 turnovers. Not going to find many games when the point guard of the winning team has 7 turnovers.
Rebounding and a rim protector on defense. Afraid we will get killed in the Big Ten.
@scam-likely yeah, no. I'm glad he is a Hoosier, but he isn't a B10 PG. He struggled to advance the ball against KSU.
Interior D, not fouling, and depth there.

Lack of depth and size/strength down low. It will be our nemesis this year. Got some square pegs in round holes
