Good morning! I did not want to just disappear for a week without saying anything so here are a few notes:
-I am out this week for a personal matter. I'll try posting occasionally but I wanted everyone to know why there wasn't much interaction from me during this week.
-I will have an updated "Hot Board" (version 2.0) for the 2026 recruiting class. My goal is to have that this weekend or early next week at the latest.
-A bit of a preview for that...Cole Cloer will be on the list, Tay Kinney will drop while Rippey and Jordan Smith both rise. I'm still trying to sort out and gather "intel" on how to rank the big guys and who all to include as options.
Again, I'll check in when possible but wanted our readers and community members to know why my interaction and presence on the board is sparse for the week.

I am back! Well, I never really left but nonetheless, I'm back. My brother and his family were at my house for the past week...we had not seen them for 2.5 years and I wanted to devote proper time to them and their two young kids. Full speed ahead to football and basketball seasons!

Also, what are you hearing on foreign kid from Mali who plays for Barcelona, Sayton Keita had read we are involved. 7'0" 17 year who showed out a the NBA 100 showcase.

@matney Keita is one of many options that IU is pursuing. Keita turned heads this summer and he now has a long list of suitors. To be blunt, I'd be VERY surprised if IU ultimately landed him. There are schools with a long history of success with international big men (particularly, guys originally from Africa) that are interested in him.
As for when the hot board will be coming out. It will be no later than the middle of this week. I was working on football content (WR preview, LB preview both coming out soon...good stuff!) and then an article on IU's new basketball addition. I plan on working on it this evening once I get my kids and Husky puppy to sleep and it will be done before this weekend (but hopefully by Wednesday). Thanks!
