Each school now has a max of 20.5m in funds to disperse to wherever athletes they choose. And now basketball can have a total of 15 on the roster which is a cap. How do we think those funds will be dispersed in Bloomington ? Does basketball still get upwards of 10m. Will the donor have a say ? How much for football? Any reserved for baseball , soccer , swimming , or even women's sports ?
Estimates:
Bball is $2.5-3M rev share + $7-7.5M NIL = $10M
Fball is $16M rev share + $7M NIl = $23M or so
Rest of the sports get the remainder.
It’s pretty widely reported our bball payroll is around $10M and there is an article where Cig says football is in the $23M range. Rev share split is about 70-75% FB and 15-20% bball per an IndyStar article and that’s about what other P2 schools are doing.
So, that’s how I got to those estimates. They’re not perfect but they’re directionally right from what I can tell.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.
