What is the source for IU's NIL budget?  I've tried to find something placing us in the Top 10 or so of NIL but have had no luck.

You won't find anything too official but there are countless articles about it. Also, any IU/basketball insider will tell you the same.

Here's one example from SI: IU in 10 million dollar club

Thanks. I find it hard to believe some of those teams are outspending the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Miami, etc. But maybe those schools don't need it.

Me.  I’m the source.  Do NOT doubt me again.  Because if you do, straight to the ignore list.

Not even a little belief?

My signature tells you all you need to know, sluggard!

Honestly, no clue.  I'm mostly just shit posting on the off-topic forum and occasionally making a quasi-valid point here in the hoops forum.  Next thing I know, five stars.

Again, you're not going to find many sources saying IU didn't spend close to all of it last season especially when they had to bring in a full roster (no "discounts" for role players already on the bench not shopping around, etc.)

@hoosiers94 then you better tell all those 6’7 to 6’9 guys who are all over the top 50 in the ncaa in rebounding to just give up. There are more 6’8 and 6’9 in that range than 7 footers. Many aren’t big at all.

when coupled with taller teammates it provides them opportunities to get rebounds.  m.  It's my opinion you don't have to agree with it. It's a weakness against the top tier teams. I'm looking for a return to the top.  Not just make the tournament and win a game or two..  but the whole thing.  We will see if DD puts a priority on this down the road.  He didn't seem to think it was this cycle.

From Grok:

Based on available information from web sources and posts on X, several college basketball programs are leading the way in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) spending for the 2025-26 season. Here’s a list of the top 10 programs identified as having the highest NIL budgets, primarily drawn from sources citing budgets of $10 million or more:

1. **Kentucky Wildcats** - Estimated at up to $12 million in NIL payroll, potentially the highest in the nation, bolstered by their aggressive pursuit of top transfers and recruits.[]( https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2025/4/22/24413300/kentucky-byu-college-basketball-most-money-nil-transfer-portal)

2. **BYU Cougars** - Also estimated at around $12 million, making them a major player in the transfer portal and recruiting trail.[]( https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2025/4/22/24413300/kentucky-byu-college-basketball-most-money-nil-transfer-portal)

3. **Duke Blue Devils** - Part of the "Golden Tier" with at least $10 million committed to NIL, leveraging their brand to attract elite talent like Cooper Flagg.[]( https://www.si.com/fannation/name-image-likeness/nil-news/several-men-s-college-basketball-programs-set-spend-insane-amount-nil) []( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

4. **Arkansas Razorbacks** - Noted for having $10 million or more in NIL funds, reflecting recent success and aggressive portal activity.[]( https://www.si.com/fannation/name-image-likeness/nil-news/several-men-s-college-basketball-programs-set-spend-insane-amount-nil) []( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

5. **Indiana Hoosiers** - Included in the $10 million club, with significant investments to restore national relevance.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

6. **Louisville Cardinals** - Reported to have at least $10 million in NIL commitments, aiming to rebuild their program.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

7. **Michigan Wolverines** - Leading in NIL spending with an estimated $10 million+, notably securing transfers like Yaxel Lendeborg for significant deals.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/top-10-college-basketball-programs-that-have-spent-the-most-nil-money-so-far-this-season/) []( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

8. **North Carolina Tar Heels** - Part of the top tier with $10 million or more, supported by their strong brand and history.[]( https://www.si.com/fannation/name-image-likeness/nil-news/several-men-s-college-basketball-programs-set-spend-insane-amount-nil) []( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

9. **St. John’s Red Storm** - Identified as having $10 million in NIL funds, making waves in the transfer market.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/)

10. **Texas Tech Red Raiders** - Committed to at least $10 million, with notable deals like JT Toppin’s $4 million NIL package.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/) []( https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-basketball/top-10-mens-college-basketball-players-highest-nil-valuations)

### Notes:

- **Sources**: These rankings are based on reports from College Sports Network, CBS Sports, and posts on X, which highlight programs with $10 million or more in NIL budgets for the 2025-26 season.[]( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/top-10-college-basketball-programs-that-have-spent-the-most-nil-money-so-far-this-season/) []( https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mens-college-basketball/programs-most-nil-power/) []( https://www.si.com/fannation/name-image-likeness/nil-news/several-men-s-college-basketball-programs-set-spend-insane-amount-nil)

- **Context**: NIL spending has skyrocketed, with top programs using these funds to secure high-profile transfers and recruits. The figures are estimates, as exact amounts are often undisclosed due to the unregulated nature of NIL deals.

- **Limitations**: Specific dollar amounts beyond the $10-12 million range are hard to verify, and some programs (e.g., Florida, Miami) are noted in a slightly lower tier (~$7-8 million) but didn’t make the top 10.[]( https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2025/4/22/24413300/kentucky-byu-college-basketball-most-money-nil-transfer-portal)

- **Images**: I don’t have access to specific images of these programs’ NIL activities, as the sources focus on text-based data. If you’d like, I can describe typical imagery associated with these programs (e.g., team logos, players, or coaches) or search for relevant visuals if you confirm you want image generation or specific links.
