Some things that I would like to see happen as the Hoosiers double down with a fistful of house money.
1. Lamar goes full Steph Curry, 11-15 from three.
2. Tucker Devries shows us he can still be an elite scorer and puts up a 30 burger.
3. Dorn breaks out of his slump and catches fire once again.
4. No real first half foul trouble, 7 total first half fouls.
5. Play enough bench to play up tempo and speed Purdue up, forcing at least 12 turnovers.
6. "Inadvertent" elbow to Loyer's nose so he has to wear one of the plastic masks the rest of the season.
7. Ref crew let's both teams play to avoid a foul fest. And don't get baited by Loyer and TKR flopping around.
8. Enright outduels Smith once again, 10 assists and 2 turnovers.
9. Get a nice 10-15 first half lead to shut that crowd up.
10. Avoid the mid second half fade.
@middawg Purdue will be intent on NOT letting Lamar or Tucker get going. I think Dorn, and maybe Enright, and a guy like Sisley, are going to be very important tonight. Purdue's defense isn't foundationally good enough to keep Lamar and Tucker down for an entire game, if we're running our offense consistently. So if the other guys I mention can step up and make some shots to help them, Lamar and Tucker will get their opportunities to do what they can do, as well. And THAT will be how we beat them.
Obviously its very possible Purdue plays like they're on fire tonight, and there won't be a ton we could do to stop them from thumping us, if they do. But if we can weather any storm they have for us early, I still think the matchup is a good one, and we could beat them tonight.

Purdue by 12 at HT. Second half is a dunk fest. Purdue 88-64.
@mushroomgod Purdue gets an early comfortable lead, IU battles back, makes a game of it well in to the second half. IU has a chance to take it, but they struggle at the end to get stops and make shots. Lose by 8 or 9, or so.
Just play good basketball and see where the cards fall. Get right for the last four games after this. It's going to be really tough game to win without Dorn playing well and Conerway MIA.
Dorn and Devries are going to hit shots. They are due.
We probably still lose. At their place after all.
This is a family affair. An older sister graduated from Purdue (And no... It's said by my buddies she's a looker, but as her brother, no further comment.) in industrial engineering and did very well in her career. Her and Butler grad husband are comfortably semi-retired now. She has been very complimentary toward us in football and claimed to be pulling for Indiana in the postseason, since three of our family went to IU, so I'll text her some #### tonight but not too much. I almost overdid it last game with gloating.

you're not asking for much
I predicted a 10 point loss on Uncleter's thread but the more I start to think about it ..
Smith, Renn and Loyers last game against IU and it's at Mackey... this could be ugly.
and they need to win this one more than we do. To save face more than anything
@hoosiers94 Them playing out of their minds is definitely a possibility. But just from a pure basketball standpoint, they're nothing like Illinois or Michigan, in terms of how much better they are, and how bad of a matchup it is for IU.
This is Purdue's super bowl though (like it was ours in Assembly Hall, to be fair). It could be a rough night, for sure.

Purdue would have beaten Illinois easily had Wagler not set an individual visiting player scoring record at Mackey. He scored 46 and they won by 6 points.

Well according to the guys on facebook a few weeks ago dorn is an NBA type player. IU by 12.
@ams66 Seems like Purdue routinely allows opposing guards to have big games against them, no? Obviously 46, from a freshman, isn't normal. And don't misconstrue my comments as me saying Purdue isn't good. They're really good. They're just not nearly as bad a matchup, for IU, as Illinois or Michigan are. They're not overly athletic. They're kinda big, but not really long. They're not wired to be overly physical. IU kinda pushed them around for much of that first game, and that's normally a big weakness for IU.
Purdue's ranking is a mirage. IU by 4, 5, or 6.
@gthomas Purdue's best is still FF level potential. Problem for them, if they're not playing their best, they're very, very beatable, by a lot of different types of teams. If they play at or near their best tonight, I don't think IU can beat them. But if not, IU has already shown they can outplay them for long stretches, and could beat them tonight doing that again.
