@arioznahoosier4554 I think if those two schools are Burtons final choices, another very big variable will be if Burton is wanting to adapt and play in Sampsons system.  Currently, he isn’t th type of PG that Sampson usually succeeds with.  And he’d have to get A LOT more physical if he were to choose Houston.  If it’s between them and IU, I would be very surprised if he chooses them.

@arioznahoosier4554 He doesn’t know the budget and you don’t either. This is what - the 5th or 6th post from you telling us how we are about to fail in the portal? We get your pov. Maybe we will fail - but I’m more optimistic.

I am going off what is posted by people like rabjohns so you need to tell he he is full of it not me. I did not just make the number up out of thin error.  Go to his twitter feed and tell him he does not know what he is talking about.

@openwheel Pretty sure there are no "multi-year deals" at least none that the players can be held to. They aren't signing a contract like the NBA. One of the complaints Barkely had was that these kids just hop from team to team every year looking for more money.

I think it depends on which court they go to... But they can sign multiyear deal.

The 'no pay to play' BS is long gone. It is pay to play. Some players have signed a deal with penalties by the NIL provider saying they would be harmed if the player transferred. But I think some players wiggled out and weren't sued. Some were sued. Some said they were leaving and then stayed.

Then it ends up in the court. And of course players are going to not want to sign multiyear unless they gain, such as hedging injury risk.

But yeah, only saying IF we can get multiyear deals, it would be nice... May not. Michigan did for Bryce Underwood for example. But with NIL skyrocketing there was a lot of talk he may head out anyway. I guess that went away? Michigan may have reworked his deal? It was already huge.

An A-10 2nd-Teamer? A kid from South Alabama State Tech???? Overwhelming.

Carr works in mysterious ways.

We need a full team again. I'm fine with a shooter.

Maybe he replaces Tucker Devries as our mid-major shooting guy. Only able to connect.

@thehoosierhuddle you also factor in that agents include IU(well known to have some coin) to get max benefit. Half these names have no IU interest from one side or another. One thing is for certain…IU will have a team next year. We just aren’t sure what it will look like.

@tjinman1987 he’s an engagement guy first. I stopped listening to him on some things.

Tucker played 35 minutes a game so if he is playing 35 a game he better be able to do alot more than just shoot. Defense is kind of important too when you play big minutes.

@spartans9312 Why? If you have 1 year left and want to compete for a championship, which school are you going to? I don't know what his motivations are, but I wouldn't be surprised for kids picking Houston over IU.

He is coming from a school that lost big time in Notre Dame so if he does want to win he will pick Houston. If he want to be near home he picks IU. I am sure the money will be pretty close so it will come down to one of the other things imo.

Rabjohn's is indeed usually full of it. He has no info and hasn't for years. THere's absolutely nothing he posts that wasn't already out there via multiple other outlets.

He's just a mouthpiece for the admin pushing an agenda to 'keep his access' which he hoards for his personal ego but shares nothing of value.  His sheep are in an uproar after he stood them up last night.

Replaces Dorn than. Only able to connect...

I'm betting he'll be a 20-25 minute a game guy. And actually, you know, make shots. Just a feeling.

Not ripping Dorn. He connected. Just was so frustrating after those several red hot games, the touch seemed to leave him down the stretch. Not ripping TD either, he did other things too.

Just hoping this time we get a clutch guy.

Yes he is but I figured he got it from someone who knew and just reposted it. He does not get any scoops himself he just pretends he did.

Think about it, though and his posting style. He hedges everything so that he can proclaim he was right in the end.  He's also a mouth piece for the admin (until they shut him out and he then turns on a dime). If he's pushing budget figures its probably because he was told to. Agents are trying to gauge IU right now. Having ppl pushing a tighter upper limit is probably some attempt to curtail it.
