@iunorth I never minded fouls. If I was playing a game with refs, I didn't feel like I gave it my all if I didn't have at least 3 fouls. Gotta learn what they'll let you get away with and then adjust. Plus, it apparently is a point of emphasis, so I agree with whoever said MU got the better of the calls because they were driving more while we were moving it around the perimeter. I think they'll loosen up on those a bit as the season goes along. It's early season for the refs too.

@cavanagh Masterful goal posts moving...  The original convo was 100 percent Bates v Romeo.  And for most, the convo was NOT about whether Bates would ever play in the NBA, it was about who was the better player and pro prospect.  It started out 1st round draft pick, then got to Bates scoring more than Romeo in the NBA, and now its??... checking in to singular NBA game?  So he's like Bronny now?  Kyle Mangas?  Keep lowering it, at some point you'll win the argument, I'm sure.

@kkott Consistency will be my main concern.  Overall though, the B10 almost always ends up allowing very physical play.  But we all know B10 refs aren't the most consistent group.

I'm torn on whether or not there should be an emphasis on calling hand checks and stuff more when offensive guys are driving toward the basket...versus just trying to run an offense around the perimeter.  I think if it weren't looking like it might go against IU, I would think that's a reasonable point of emphasis.

I would guess CDD will adjust accordingly.  But those adjustments hopefully won't include them dropping back in to a more traditional, less ball pressure oriented pack line.  His history shows his teams will nearly always extend and pressure... and I love that.

@hooky you and everyone else said he would never play in the nba.

I never worried about whether or not he'd play in the NBA.  I said he didn't have it between his ears and would never amount to much here.

Pretty sure the only guy I've ever commented on playing in the NBA was TJD.

@iunorth he is way better than Romeo and will score more points.  Doesn’t change the fact that everyone said he would never make it.  I was the only one to even say he would make it.  I went above and beyond talking about more points than Romeo and still say that.  BTW said he would get drafted and was wrong never said 1st round pick.  Find that post on the other site.

The guy is an absolute clown.  And has the reputation as such within the walls of the athletic department.

Don't let your need to prove you are right make you look like a D of a fan.

This is clearly his #1 priority and the topic of most of his posts.  Pretty lame.  I really don't get hating and mocking some of our players.

@iunorth my biggest complaint about yesterday was that I felt like MU was driving wrecklessly losing the ball and then IU was getting whistled for fouls when there was contact, because they were loose with it. Calling reaches, or body contact when a guy is fully in control of his dribble and what he's doing is one thing, especially if it impedes his play, but once he loses control of his dribble, I think at that point the defender should have an equal opportunity to go for it, as the offensive guy does. If someone gets run over, call the foul, but otherwise a reasonable amount of contact should be OK until someone establishes control and possession again.

@kkott I agree that the officiating was suspect to say the least. I'm the most disappointed that we didn't seem to adjust to the officiating. Tucker's fourth foul was a clear reach, and just a really dumb thing to do in that moment. We had guys standing straight up, not moving their feet and reaching on the perimeter alot yesterday.

@hooky his best attribute is between the ears. That’s why he excelled at Mizzu and got a two way contract in the nba when everyone said he would never make it.  Not his fault woody sucked.
