That list is all over the place. Ponder is a huge individual and it's interesting that IU is pursuing him and Arafan Diane. They don't really seem like the mobile big men you'd expect in DeVries' system but they are big, big young men. I really like Diane's game, specifically. We'll see if things go anywhere with Ponder.
I’m not very impressed with Ponder. He’s a big boy, but all he can do is dunk. He can’t shoot. I trust the staff at this point, but this one I don’t follow.
@tammany I certainly would not call Ponder a "top priority"...IU has watched him multiple times but I have not seen anything that would suggest they are pushing hard for him just yet.
A big who can defend, rebound and dunk......works in every system!
@kcp04 I agree. You need rim protector and rebound guy. If he can dunk them that is high percentage. If he can hit free throws he can be an offensive weapon.
