Indiana Hoosiers (12-5, 3-3) vs. Iowa Hawkeyes (12-5, 2-4)
Line: IU -3.5
We've got the Cuban Bowl on Monday, and the Drake Bowl today.
This feels like a massive game for IUBB. The Hoosiers need a quality win and Iowa, as of now, would qualify as a Quad One opponent. In addition, the Hoosiers have a game at Michigan coming up and a loss today would very likely put the Hoosiers into a three-game losing skid. Finally, there's the optics of Iowa first-year head coach Ben McCollum entering Assembly Hall and it feels quite important for Darian DeVries to get a home win over McCollum in year one. The Hawkeyes have garnered praise this season but their resume looks a whole heck of a lot like IU's right now.
Massive game for DD
Nobody seems to care. Even the chat is empty.
I just got back from CFP media day and watching on the train back to palm beach. Must win for IU.
This team just sucks. Iowa so much better coached.
A very poor start for IU's offense, the Hoosiers trail 7-2 at the first MTO and there's one foul apiece on Enright/Wilkerson/Conerway. IU is 1-8 from the field and 0-4 from three.
Not great start as an understatement
IU's offense is not getting anything easy and Iowa is up 7-2 early.
Cignetti is propping up the entire athletics department. Basketball is a complete mess and none of the other sports make any money.
Enright is terrible..I"m sorry. Defense is great but offense a total liability.
9 misses in a row for IU
Lamar Wilkerson goes to the bench with 12:21 remaining as he picks up his second foul. It's now 5 fouls on IU and 2 on Iowa at the 2nd MTO. 10-5 Hawkeyes.
