There is usually some excitement in year one of a new coach. Not this time around. This program is basically dead and it needed a very exciting hire with a vision. Instead we got archie 2.0 or may even worse. Fans have basically checked out.

Whiffing this badly on a coaching hire makes it clear Dolson hiring Cignetti was luck. The process for hiring coaches clearly isn’t well thought out or applied consistently across all sports.
Knight was the program. Clearly, it wasn’t IU that made IU successful but a once in a lifetime coach. The institutional competence has never been there. Missing on five straight hires shows that idiots are in charge.
The ghost of Bobby Knight might not be able to get much more out of the talent on this team.
@ams66 The interest level has the potential of dropping lower. IU playing at Rutgers on Friday and an IU win is no given. Rutgers gave Iowa a far better battle than did Indiana. At Iowa last night, the Scarlet Knights were down by 2 points with 18 seconds before losing 68 to 62.
@bigmike NCAA's not looking likely, right now. A loss to Rutgers, well, that'd probably end that discussion. Trying to pull optimism... Tucker seemed to find something in 2nd half. IU didn't get 30-40 point housed, like Michigan has shown they can do to decent teams even.
Get the Rutgers game, find something in that game to carry over to Tuesday's game, and kick off a resurgence by beating those A-holes.
