@ams66 I remember the reason for the tiff: Knight told Lewis not to leave Bullock to help, and another player scored behind his back (for lack of a better phrase). I actually think Knight loved ML's fire. Plus, Lewis was simply following instructions.

Maybe Coach thought Lewis didn't help, out of 'spite'. 😆

@mushroomgod I played against AJ Guyton's class in the barnstorming tour games.  I thought AJ was a "wasted scholarship" at the time, and thought Mike Lewis was overrated.  Clearly I hadn't developed my razor sharp eye for talent, that I have today.  Ha ha.  It never dawned on me that those fellas probably didn't want to be there, practicing and playing against guys like me... and that it might have meant quite a lot more to me, than it did them.  Oh to be young and naiive again.

Do you remember Dirk Minniefield, who played at UK?  When he & Isiah Thomas were both graduating seniors they both played at the "Derby Classic" all-star game in Louisville.  My brother and I both went to see IT.......anyway, Minniefield went off that night and IT looked very average.  That was at the height of the IU-UK rivalry, and was very distressing at the time.  I lived and died college IU & college basketball in those days..............
