Darren Harris with a pair of threes (he looks very confident) and Bryce Lindsay with a deep triple. IU leads 17-12 and UNC takes a timeout.
17-17 at the under 12
IU hit some jumpers, but allowed UNC to go on a 5-0 run to tie the game back up
UNC ties it up with five quick points, Lindsay called for a travel and we go to the 2nd MTO.
Those last two possessions were the definition of preseason basketball
Burton is back in the game after being benched for two early fouls
Burton back in with two fouls and Samet Yigitoglu got clobbered right in the eye twice. That looks pretty painful.
Under 8: IU 23-19
UNC tried to shoot a three over Sherrell, hit the side of the rim, then Marcus Burton took it to the other end for a contested layup
The acceleration and layup after cutting through the defense that we just saw from Markus Burton is something IU lacked a season ago. His score puts Indiana ahead 23-19 at the under 8 MTO.
Yigitoglu checked back in the game
Bad shooting all around. IU has had another strong performance on the glass so far. Turnovers have been a consistent problem for IU.
Sherrell stretched the court with a three, assisted by Lindsay!
IU 30-21
Timeout North Carolina as Gainbridge has its loudest crowd pop of the night after that Sherrell offensive board and then bucket to put IU up 11. A 9-0 run by the Hoosiers
32-21 IU
IU going with Sherrell at the 5 for a stretch and the defense is causing the Tar Heels problems. Sherrell hits a three on a pick and pop and then scores on a hustle play with two offensive rebounds. Big sequence from Aiden Sherrell and IU leads 32-21, timeout UNC.
