I’m so glad Quinn gave his golfing buddy an extra year to really show how inept he was. And great hire by Michigan. Dusty May is killing it.
FIFY
I can’t sit through another four years of mediocrity. This program is so bad it can’t even qualify for a 68 team tournament anymore.
Dolson has to answer for this. Yeah, Cignetti was a good hire but a second straight crappy basketball hire is unacceptable, especially when a freaking alum of the university is dominating with a program in the same damn conference!
@iugradman Dolson is untouchable; he made the second best hire in the history of IU athletics.
I'm not thrilled about DD and never have been, but SD brought in the guy who's made my last two sporting years f###ing amazing. I had one of the best father/daughter moments ever in Indy, so I'm cool with Scottie regardless of what happens on the hardwood.

can't blame Scott.
Woodson would have never been hired in the 1st place if it was up to him AND
I believe he would have canned him a yr earlier if the powers to be hadn't interfered to fvck things up
What also concerns me is the apparent lack of NIL for basketball. IU has been getting outbid left and right for recruits since DeVries got here. I thought one of he reasons he took the job was because of the resources he would have available?
Was listening to the game but turned it off with 9ish minutes to go. You can't expect to win a game with your best team on the bench. I thought the game was over when Wilkerson picked up his 4th foul early in the 2nd half. It is not all on him but he has been around and knows what has to be done and that's not it.
Iu is not deep enough to absorb their starting 5+ in foul trouble. This was a winnable game...

That was his mistake obviously. He should've insisted on having top 10 NIL $ before he took the job.
Still should have beaten that Kentucky team that has a couple of their NIL spends still out with injury.
That game was there for the taking, but instead we were awful.
The officiating was clearly crooked though.
,
Al Durham is not walking through that door, so these players better figure this out ... and quick.
My God, is this what we've come to? Pining for Al fvcking Durham???
yes but when a cut is made it's cut off by the defender so quickly that there's never a proper window .. rendering it useless. Or it's a lazy cut and the defender hardly has to do anything to stay in front
you're right if you saw that first Knight team you're a little older than me. First one I remember is 76 team. But that was a different time, the world moved slower, people were more patient, there weren't pcs and smart phones either. Maybe we should go back to those times but I don't think that's happening. Back then there was. No NIL , players only could play 3 years no freshmen, there was no portal to rebuild a team in a day. Is what it is now and fans expect more because there is more at a teams disposal ..it's win now or go

The short shot clock doesn’t help and teams panic once the clock is around 10. I still believe with discipline and knowledge of your defender that movement on the weakside and less ball screens would benefit this team. ISO game will not work with this team…we aren’t built for it. The ball has to get to players in a position to score….not where they have to do something to create the opportunity. Especially with regards to Alexis…

You are older than I am if you remember much of the ‘76 team. I understand the game is different. If it’s win now or go then I probably shouldn’t follow the game. I still believe you can develop and keep players. Sisley has that chance with proper coaching. I’m in agreement that we played bad last night and should have won once we had a 7-9 point lead. The offense is supposed to punish teams that play 2 bigs…but we aren’t getting the ball in the correct spots at the right time. Once they were able to play Dioboute alongside another big we struggled to end defensive possessions. It’s up to coach to adjust
I completely agree. The standing around on the weak side ruins any hope for this team to have success. This offense and its success is predicated on constant movement all over the floor. And you're absolutely correct we have "zero" threats against good teams to execute ISO ball. Zero. Anyone can execute and offense against a hapless Penn St team
I know darn well they aren't going to fire him before the season is out. And if there is any semblance of a winning record he won't be fired at seasons end. But I honestly don't see it improving, even with a top 5 NIL I don't , his inability to get these kids focused enough to run this offense consistently against a team like Kentucky amazes me. I can understand a team shutting down on the execution portion of it but the lack of interest or intensity at times is to me coaching. Small things like how to make the cut at what angle and speed is also coaching. Making a lollygag cut waving your hand in the air at a snails pace doesn't fool anyone. It just jams up the lane and the burns time off the clock , at this level I would expect this to be nipped immediately. A time out called and some ass chewing on the sidelines to get their heads out of their asses. And yes coaches still do that not every kid is a pussy these days. I'm not talking RMK chair throwing or headbutting.
