@willray I don't think Bates will get to Langford's current number of games played in his NBA career ... if indeed he has a career.

Romeo and Tamar will settle the debate on who is better on the court when the teams meet during the season. I say Romeo will shine and Tamar better hope Romeo doesn't guard him. Disclaimer: I am a NAHS graduate so I'm a bit biased. And, Cav, before you say, wanna bet, I don't gamble. Let the bragging rights be the wager.

The Knicks suck on defense except for OG and Robinson. Bridges maybe but he didn't look so good in the playoffs.  Romeo is already NBA defense capable.  So he has a clear NBA skill being better than avg defender.  Romeo is a lot more explosive athletically and way better defensively than Bates. Romeo offense sux and he gets hurt to much so like Dante Exum had to to go play euro ball.

IMO, Romeo would shut Bates down if they matched up. I guess Bates wouldn't have to defend.   I always liked Bates and wish he had stayed.  You cn tell he matured a lot staying in college and if he works hard might do something but he has no clear skill that stands out for the NBA. Bates will get some garbage time and maybe some load management or injury time.  As a Mavs fan,  I much prefer their 2 way signees.  3 and D SG Kelly from Auburn and Nembhard's little bro.

I know the Pacer's drafted Kam Jones but I'd be looking at adding JHS who is unsigned and a FA.  TJ is getting old and if the Pacers wind up in the tank by January might be time to move TJ to a team needing a rotational PG for a playoff run. I know he is a fave but gotta know when to hold and when to fold.

To be clear, Romeo was not signed by the New York Knicks, but instead by the Westchester Knicks.  Not on a 2-way.  It isn't clear at all that he will set foot in MSG.

Yeh,  I would expect the Knicks gave them input on these types of signings.  Not that he has a chance to make the roster but teams still look and evaluate guys to check on development in his age range so he might get a camp invite.  They have all types of contracts just for training camps. see the google ai link below.

@sig for Romeo, I suspect, it’s as easy as him showing he can be a more consistent 3 point shooter.  Romeo sitting in the mid 30s, percentage wise, is a rotational player for most teams.  Because of the other things he’s good at, and because of his size and length.  As of now, he’s just too poor a shooter.

@cavanagh You really think Tamar is making a team?

@zeke4ahs he has a two way contract.  Average guy with a 2 way last year last year played around 25 games.  So ya. Odds are really good he will be playing with joker.

I been saying that for a while and that is why teams will check in on him.  His defense is outstanding even at the NBA level.  The rest of his game is not close and his injury history is not good. What other things besides defense has he proven to be good at? He also has not showed that he plays with high energy even as good as he is on defense.

I do not think Romeo is eligible for a 2 way contract which is likely why he doesn't get one of those deals.  He typically has put up big numbers at that level.     He'll probably go back to Europe for more money than a standard G-League deal though some players will take lesser money if they think they are close to getting on an NBA team.

@sig Scores at multiple levels.  Rebounds fairly well for a guard.  I think his effort level is blown out of proportion...and I do think its partly because of his "resting lazy face", and very even body language.  At Indiana, he played pretty hard, and fought through multiple injuries.   He just didn't always look like he was busting it because he's not demonstrative, and his game is very smooth and fluid overall.  He isn't a quick change of pace guy, for sure.

@zeke4ahs When he starts playing the goal posts will don’t worry.  Remember. Everyone said there was no shot in hell he would make the nba.

@cavanagh no, everyone didn’t say that.  The main argument you got from many is whether or not he plays more or lasts longer in the NBA than Romeo.

@iunorth false.  Everyone laughed when I said he was better.  No1 gave him a shot at the nba after he left IU.  No1.
