Have to show up better than that against these dregs which is the reason why you shouldn't schedule them. This 'win' dropped our metrics across the board.

It was pretty lackluster in the 2nd half.  Not what you wanna see at all.

They took close to 50 threes vs a really bad team. That won't cut it in the big ten.

Cruise is not the word I would've used ... sneaks is a little more like it

Exactly my take as well.  This was a game where you want to overpower a team, not settle for a million 3's.

Indiana will get crushed in the conference if they are one dimensional.  Start getting guys to the free throw line.

We don't have the roster to "overpower" in the conference. Our chances to win in conference games hinge on getting (and hitting) open shots, not overpowering inside. And doing it the whole game so we don't get into the position of having to dig out of a hole. Yes we need to get to the free throw line. We need to limit turnovers. We need to be able to get the ball inbounds. We've done that in some games but not consistently. We haven't done anything consistently for 40 minutes with maybe a couple of exceptions.

I'm getting more than a little concerned with Tucker's shooting.

Chicago State is really bad they lost to iowa by 40. You should be able to dominate them down low not shoot 50 years like the nba. We will be so easy to defend in ths big ten.

No big ten team is bad enough defensively to allow this team take 45 threes. The goal of every opposing defense is the take away the 3. They didn't 'settle' for those shots, they were in a majority open looks, and it's the main goal of this offense. Yes they need to mix it up for better balance and spacing, but when shots are that wide open, take them. I hope we get 45 threes against a big ten team and hit 15. That will show our offense is working to perfection and/or the defense failed to stop us from doing what we want to do. 33% on 45 attempts would win a lot of games.

Also, IU is not purely one dimensional, they have an efficient offense in the lane with a fair adj FT rate*, top 8 EFG%, top 14 in 2pt %. It's just not prolific. Why are those numbers so high? Spacing .....due to defenses extending out to shooters. IU just doesn't have the quickness, athleticism or size to capitalize on the open lane currently.

*117 is better than Michigan or Purdue but a bit skewed due to IU not having near as many and 1s.

Oh btw, welcome to the 21st century.
