@hoosiers94 I buy and sell tickets so I donate through other accounts and it fluctuates but I’m around 12k normally.
thanks for sharing but I was throwing that back in whatthefrick lap ... since he seemed to have such an interesting opinion on how one should feel about their donations
Right, because you think I don't donate. I have donated to both my Alma maters, which include IU. Your implications otherwise are false. Just another delusion you'd like to invent to support another stupid argument you want to have.
Go look up the definition of donation, if you don't understand it. It is not the same as "investment."
I know you guys all think you can conflate those words on order to justify your complaints about DeVries. You shouldn't.

you're naive if you think people donate based on the results they see. They surely do... our coffers are much larger in football now that we are winning. Cuban donated the money to get Mendoza based off of the previous seasons success... prior to that he had not given a dime to IU football.
so for you to define what it means to others and how they distribute is the misguided part. I gave much more when we were winning in basketball than I do now. And I discontinued my entire football donations during Tom Allen's fiasco... so yes ROI of sorts is expected. And it's not expected in appreciation of the assets contributed but in W's on the field or court etc ... that is reality. Those that donate their 500 bucks a year to the varsity club etc ... that's not who we are talking about here. I'm talking about the kind of donations that don't need to worry about how many points they have so their seats are nicer these types of donations get great seats without asking for them And they get more upon request I know because that's the level I used to be at...
and I didn't ask "IF" you donated... I asked how much you donated ... big difference
None of your wandering, meandering, self glorifying screed changes the fact that a donation and an investment are not the same thing.

this isn't ELA class.. and none of your weasely, self grandstanding, or pot stirring gob smacking changes the context of the original comment. Get a mit and get in the game or tap out
and likely your inability to understand the difference is because you've not experienced such levels of money and what comes with it Keep working hard maybe you'll get there :: tip ; lose the wise ass remarks ... definitely will aid your cause
