I didn't expect much from our Hoosiers this year.  Major disappointment with the NW game.  Team looked beat.  I hope we can buy some talented size next year.  Scheme is good. Some of those guys are good enough.  Everyone has played hard, but we were out matched in the B1G. We have time for a roster build this year.  Hope we spend well.  Go Hoosiers!

One good interior guy, like Ware or Zeller, or from the far past, Haston, who is comfortable out high, would make a huge difference.

I would feel a lot better if Wilkerson and Alexis were juniors.

As it stands, too much rebuilding again and quite frankly, DeVries has to learn to coach without his son on the floor.  I could take a couple years still (giving him the benefit of the doubt).

Agreed.  Roster build for next season smaller but more important than last year.  Smaller #'s means more focused and concentrated.  Will be done with a full staff with at least some continuity and familiarity.

Too many one-off guys means a bigger rebuild than ideal. But I am looking forward to seeing who wants to stay. Will tell a lot about how DeVries is viewed by his players (love him, hate him, neutral) and his recruiting and retention chops. Supposedly a couple good recruiters on staff.

I still hope we win a couple more games...! I don't want our off-season to start while so many are still playing. (Or, maybe there is NIT coming.)

We played some good ball at times. And I don't feel like some do that we didn't make adjustments. I thought Coach really did. Not every game, but some of those we didn't have the personnel.

Watched Michigan/Iowa last night and Michigan's advantage wasn't awesome strategies, they have a guy (Mara) who stands on his tip toes and is coordinated enough to snag a long rebound one handed and dunk it in the same motion. Hard to coach up to that.

Are Jason Drake and Josh Harris practicing with the team yet?

Probably a bad look for them to take part in the pregame shoot around and  layup line when both will be applying for a medical redshirt hardship waivers.

Just curious.  Will be a real kick to the nuts if one or both become "stars" when back on the court.

Will lead one to wonder what this 25/26 team could have been.

With the news that the women's team won't accept an NIT bid, I'd think the men's team would be in the same boat.  Arrogance? Perhaps. But with a senior laden team I doubt that gaining valuable experience for next year's team with extra games played would result.  We will have another roster rebuild.

You could say that about any team who had injuries though.  Oregon I think had like four guys out. Look at  Minnesota they have been going with six or seven guys all season due to injuries. Neither of those guys were expected to be starters anyway all our main guys stayed pretty healthy.

Yeah didn'f fred glass make some famous statement about how we are Indiana and we do not play in the NIT. I think tomorrow is it as far as if our season will go on after the btt.

This is sad.

Make me King of CBB and we'd have a 32 team Championship Tournament and a 64 team -- yes 64 -- NIT.

I think that there's really only room for one post-season tournament. I'd agree with the 32 teams, a 9 or higher seed has never won it in the 64 team era. But I dont thiink there's a lot of general interest or really a point in another tournament to determine the 33rd best (or 65th best) team in the country. It's all just to make money, which is fine, but not something I'd pay for.

heard Fish say that Josh Harris is practicing some with team and had he played, would have helped with the big man rotation…maybe not have solved all the problems but would’ve shelled and hopefully he comes back next yr

At the end of the day, this was a roster full of mid-major level players who played like it.  Now, contrast that with Cignetti who brought in a boatload of G5 guys who most certainly did not play like it.  I made a post in the off-season before his first year wringing my hands about it and Cig made me look like a fool. So, the question with DeVries becomes whether it is a talent identification issue or a coaching issue?  Hopefully not both…

Cig spent years as an assistant in big boy programs. He knew what big boy football and big boy football players look like. CDD was at Creighton.

Too bad we didnt go 9-23 last year like WVU did before their 19-13, 10-10 year.

Then we would be excited that he turned us around. 🙁
