Who could have imagined it but what's absolutely crazy is that IU has lost the last 5 games to Northwestern. At one time the game against the Wildcats was a gimme. The recent IU / Northwestern results have shown how far the Indiana basketball program has fallen. I expect DeVries and the boys will break the streak tonight and get the Hoosiers on the right path.
They better do something.

@thehoosierhuddle I had to check to get the details straight but I recall sitting back in the rafters of Assembly Hall as a very young IU student on January 14, 1974. Fans were extremely upset even though the highly favored Hoosiers won 72-67. Didn't lose but many unhappy people simply because the "score was too close."
My perspective has changed over the years. I'd be more than pleased with any kind of win tonight.

I waxed college, but I didn't have the goods for Northwestern out of high school. I'm fairly certain my rejection letter said something like, "You're kidding, right?"

@thehoosierhuddle The only reason I wrote for Bleacher Report back in the day was to get a press pass (with great parking). I probably broke media credential rules by using that "power" to get my kids pics with Hulls and Crean.
