There should be zero excuse about them getting started late again they got started 2-3 week earlier than alot of teams this year because of when the season ended.
Agreed. We will find out if we can compete, or be fighting for a win over Northwestern as our bell cow for next season.
i don't think devries wants to be in the portal each year and that's why he has 3 freshman coming in next season while already having a '27 commit.
but after the failure to get to their goal of tournament or bust, they're in the same spot as last year but with three freshman. you're right...that sucks.
The danger comes next year. If DeVries doesn't knock it out of the park in the portal, IU will lose one or more of their quality 4 players they actually have, and if that happens, they will have become Northwestern. One year away.
Anyone can buy a team if they're willing to fork out the cash. Turnarounds no longer require development or sustainability within the program, just tamper with and buy players who developed under other coaches. Then hope you get lucky and they gel into a tight unit...

This had been updated with both the Jaeden Mustaf and Darren Harris commitment...I will add Markus Burton when that becomes official.
Burton has been added...3-1 today so IU is back to 6 total scholarships with the freshman.

Although I suspect it will become 'Glu'. Nicks arise sort of organically. (Edit: I see in the portal thread somebody already used 'Yig'.)
pretty sure his nickname is yigi (yiggy) but i could be wrong.
i also added aiden sherrell to the roster since i'm busy with work...i'm very confident that sherrell is a hoosier.
