@drjb Man, that's the best comp there is I think. I'd agree with IU solely because it covered 16 games. Still not sure that means it was more unlikely, just harder. Those are the 2 most unlikely stories I can think of in team sports. Don't follow soccer, so I wonder if there is a WC contender?

prior to 2yrs ago I'd have bet the ranch IUFB would never win anything of significance

but then except for a couple brief stretches, watching 65yrs of futility had made me jaded

it's a simple game:

-you run the ball....you catch the ball

-you don't beat yourself with turnovers and penalties

- you put pressure on the quarterback

it is a freaking miracle though if you ask me

@drjb Outside of Leicester City, theres not really any precedent of a team stinking for so long and winning it all. And I think its more impressive to do it in CFB than for a pro sports franchise. No one had ever won a title with a roster that had less than 50% blue chips, we did it with under 10%.
