I’m hearing Rhule is their number one target.
i still don’t think Cig leaves IU. Hes been very public about that.
What's annoying is now the same people who were calling IU and Cig a fraud last week are now saying there is no way Cig stays at IU. Scoffing at the idea that he would even consider staying and turning down somewhere like Pedo U...er I mean Penn St.
It really angers people that IU is good at football.
Listen to Sammy y’all. He’s the guy who covers IU 24/7 and talks to people.
Of course Feinbaum said this morning that Cig would be wise to leave.

Isn't Rhule like 2-22 against the top 25? He's not an upgrade from Franklin in any way.
@dbmhoosier Yes, but he is very close with Pat Kraft. They were at Temple together. Thye may look at others, but I think this is where it ends up.
I think Cig wants to win a National Championship at Indiana, pure and simple. He ain’t even thinking about leaving until he does that, and probably not even then.

He'd have zero fan support from day 1. None of the PSU fans seem to want him.
You’d have to be half-crazy to take the Penn State job. Franklin has positioned it into a dead-end position - win it all or else. Who in their right mind wants that?
Plus, Cig’s immediate success has screwed all the ‘give me a few years to build it’ coaches. Look at how people on here view Dusty May’s quick turnaround at Michigan as their litmus when they assess DeVries. “He did it, why can’t you?” is the mantra of the day.
So, at PSU it’s ’win it all and now’. Not a great job description.
it's extremely similar to the IU basketball situation. Thankfully Knight and IU didn't cover up for a pedo but otherwise it's similar. Hall of Fame coach fired and the program has never really recovered. May never. You’d have to be half-crazy to take the Penn State job. The only thing Penn State can give Cig that IU can't is the chance to get fired.

IU did hire a great coach only 5 1/2 years after Knight was fired but he stupidly decided to cheat. Glass was an idiot who couldn’t hire a good football or basketball coach to save his life and the boosters/trustees chose Woodson. DeVries is a good coach and should make the program respectable.
@dbmhoosier I’m not even sure he will go that high. He knows that IU needs to keep his staff happy and the NIL flowing. I do not think he will let his salary threaten those two things. I also believe he is here until he retires. He has exactly what he wants here. Why move at this age and start all over again?
Finebaum is an idiot. I don’t listen to anything that guy says. He will only promote narratives that benefit the SEC and he wants CIG in the SEC. Just wait until FL opens. He will have a lot to say and will be beating the SEC drum to get Cig to go there.Of course Feinbaum said this morning that Cig would be wise to leave.
someone here hit the nail on the head when they compared Franklin to Crean. Crean was a very good coach, but he was not a great coach like Sampson. That roster we had with Yogi, Zeller, Oladipo, Hulls, and Watford was ridiculous. That was a championship team that severely underproduced based on the talent on that team. That told me all I needed to know about Crean and I imagine that’s the way PSU fans feel as well.it's extremely similar to the IU basketball situation.
