If Sharpe does edge out Gandy for the starting spot for ODU is there any concern Gandy will do a Dmac and jump in the portal during the season rather than continuing to push for improvement and the starting spot? Given that he was a starter at Pitt I don’t think he came here not to start. Obviously, I want the best guy to win the spot, but I also worry about our depth if someone like Gandy gets disgruntled. Hopefully we can keep both of them happy and they will truly embody team over me.
@olympian97 I would not necessarily be concerned about that. Anything is possible, of course. IU (and all teams) will play three CBs often with one guy in the slot and there will be plenty of snaps available.
Per CCC, nothing is given everything is earned. If a player doesn't want to stay around to earn it then it is best that he goes.

It’s way too early to tell anything. I also think it’s unfair to judge a guy and be afraid he will leave one day into fall camp
