@shooter Yeah, except this guy said he’d only been a fan since 2012…

@shooter sadly, no, look at his list. He's a youngster. Think he means just a couple years ago when we beat them when they were #1 with Bacot and Caleb Love. His list made me sad for young Hoosiers.

1. 2026 IUFB

2. 1976 IUBB

3. 1987 IUBB

4. 1981 IUBB

5. 2016 Kyle Schwarber leading the Cubs to the WS title

Pretty close to mine, except #5. Guess mine would be:

1 2026 IUFB (last night w IU friends and family and especially being @ the Peach Bowl with my son. Ponds interception was the single most exciting moment in sports I've ever experienced in person!)

2 '81 bball. Watched with HS friends, after Reagan was shot. Did they delay it a day? Think it went on, but can't recall. Anyway, Bobby, Isiah, Landon, and Ray. Wow.

3. '87 Bball: Had season tix, got to see us beat Fairfield and Auburn in Indy and then watched F4 with roommates in Indy

4. '76 Bball. Would be higher, but I was 11 and just getting into IU Bball. Watched with a buddy's family who were diehards and indoctrinated me accordingly

5. Wat shot or '02 run. Honestly, going Wat Shot just because it was so close to Ponds in terms of excitement and we know how the '02 season ended.

3.) IUBB's win over UNC

I’m ashamed to say I don’t know what you’re referring to with this one.  Last important game against UNC that I remember was a loss in the sweet sixteen.

This is also a sad one in my top 5, as it is a regular season game. It was from 2016 with OG, Thomas, RoJo, JBJ, Newkirk starting this game. Only reason it's here is because it was in person and was the craziest I've seen AH. Here's the box score:

@shooter @jackskip23 @kkott @jj_mcclure Edited for clarity, sorry about that. Was referencing 2016's regular season win against UNC. Craziest I've ever seen AH. I linked the box score in the post above.

I'm a 2017 grad so bear with me here lol, been a fan since 2012/2013.

1.) Last night, not even close

2.) Penix's dive vs. PSU

3.) IUBB's win over UNC (edit: 2016 regular season home win with OG, TB, etc, sad, I know)

4.) Rushing the field when IUFB beat #17 MSU (sad, I know)

5.) Zander Diamont almost beating OSU (sad, I know)

Honorable Mention: Rushing the court when Noah Vonleh's IUBB beat #3 Wisconsin (sad, I know)

I got a good lol out of Noah Vonleh being mentioned in a list of top moments.  That is grim!

2001 grad, so, very clear top 3:

1. Last night

2. Kirk Haston (we were courtside)

3. IU/Duke (was on campus for the game/celebration, yes I was on the mermaid)

After that, 4-5 and beyond could be any collection of great games I was at, or it could just be some of my favorite moments from this season, like PSU or the B1G title. Honorable mention to the Wat Shot.

@evanalvarez8 LOL.  I was there actually.  Guess I’ve put it out of my mind since
I view it as Crean’s last gasp before everything went to hell.  Doesn’t engender warm fuzzy feelings for me….

I was one of the first students on the court for the pile-up. We had good seats just a couple of rows up behind the MSU basket, so we had a great view of the shot across the court. One of the things I distinctly remember was this: during the last timeout, the lead usher walked along talking to the kids whose job it was to hold up the nylon rope keeping us off the court, and said, "I don't want anyone getting hurt. If they win this game, drop the rope and get out of the way."

Another thing I distinctly remember, which is a weird one, was this girl in the row in front of us had a tiny pet snake - not rubber, live - wrapped around her neck. I often wonder if that poor snake made it out of there alive.

5. 2007 Bucket Game

Forgot about that one! A childhood friend was getting married that day, and I was playing keyboard for the ceremony. The game happened mostly during the ceremony, but I got to listen to the end during the drive to the reception, and then, during the first part of the reception, because I stayed out in the car until it was over.

I don't really have a top five. We haven't won enough in my lifetime.

I remember Isiah Thomas leading us to victory in 1981. That was cool, I was still a teenager.

1987 topped it. Keith Smart's shot and his great playing plus a couple big 3s by Alford getting us back into it. The two other plays besides 'the shot' at the end I remember are being down about 7 and Alford pulls up for 3 on a break, from well outside his usual range, but before the defender could pick him up. *swish* . And then Smart playing lights out but a little bunny he shot when were within 3 or4 with maybe 2 minutes left, he shot from the side maybe 6 feet out and it went skip-skip across both sides of the rim and didn't fall. I thought we were going to lose, right then. Nope!

Ricky Calloway put back rebound sneaking inside for it from out of nowhere against LSU (edit) in the tournament was huge.

The missed free throw by Duke trying to complete the four point play, and we held on to win. Awesome.

The Wat shot. Very cool win.

Bill Mallory. We had some good teams.

Oh edit, newest: Mendoza run for the TD. Jamari's interception. HOOSIERS!

That's fair lol, I forgot we ended that year on a very low note. 18-16, 10th in the big ten, and Tom's last year. I just remember how crazy Assembly Hall was - you could feel it vibrate, it was unbelievable. Sucks it was attached to a lackluster season.
